The endless stretch of the Sterkfontein Dam forms the beautiful setting for this resort. Water sports are a favourite pastime (please provide own equipment). Boma braai on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
About the resort:
The resort is situated on the shores of the Sterkfontein Dam (the second biggest by volume in South Africa) with numerous activities available on site including a harbour facility for skiing or sailing (provided you bring your own equipment), fishing, bird watching, mountain biking, hiking, horseriding, tennis courts, squash courts, kiddies playground, swimming pool, a restaurant, bar and convenience store. There are barge cruises departing twice daily (minimum party of six), weather permitting. The resort hosts a traditional Boma Braai every Wed and Sat evening in a stunning enclosed area. Braais are supplied and you can either bring your own meat or purchase braai packs from the shop, and side dishes at the boma. There is also a full bar facility available at the boma on these evenings. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and Saturdays but there is an evening boma on these days. The restaurant is also closed on Sunday evenings. Reception closes at 17h00 and the shop closes at 14h00 on Sundays.

The following are recommended day trips - please enquire at reception for more information. The Sentinel Hike - quite difficult so be prepared, Drakensberg Power Station - an excellent two-hour underground tour of the power station, Basotho Cultural Village - meet the chief and his three wives, take a tour through the village and arts and crafts shop, Golden Gate - known for its beautiful rock formations, Clarens - excellent art galleries and restaurants. Adventure Golf, Kiddie's playground with trampolines, Volley ball, Darts, Table Tennis, Walking Trails, Daily barge cruises (weather permitting).
